Friday, October 23rd, 5 – 8 PM
|
This is your opportunity to participate in one or both of two of our bonus classes with Jenni Bowlin (listed at the bottom of this page).
The other attractions for the night will be our Midway shops! We have several folks setting up their wares for display and sale - including Jenni Bowlin & Rebecca Sower! Enjoy exclusive shopping opportunities, as well as refreshments catered by Jane Burney of the Lovin’ Spoonful Café. |
We’ll have Jenni Bowlin setting-up her scrapbooking supplies, in addition to one of kind finds and accessories. Rebecca Sower will bring her handcrafted treasures--handmade journals, art pieces, jewelry and more, as well as vintage and handcrafted supplies, ephemera and findings. Summer Jackson of Wild Angel's, will be there with her jewelry. Kathy Thiessen will be there with her repurposed junk and vintage finds. Kimberly Jones will take Serendipity on the road and set-up her vintage inventory, along with some scrapbooking supplies. We’re finalizing a couple more vendors and will post more information here as soon as it is available.
This event free for all registered Spectacular, Spectacular participants. A nominal fee of $5 will be charged of all non-registered guests. |

Wonderfully Vintage Altered Collage
4pm to 6pm |
 |
Instructor: Jenni Bowlin
Workshop Fee: $40 |
If you ever wanted to create a detailed collage but didn’t know where to start – this is the class for you! You will learn new techniques (masking, creative sewing and crepe paper rosette making) while creating an 8 ½” x 11” collage, backed with chipboard and ready for your favorite easel! There will be lots of JBS products in your class kit (enough left over for other projects) as well as several one-of-a-kind vintage goodies.
Please bring the following items to class (if you have them) – |
- Basic tools and adhesives (paper trimmer, scissors, craft knife, pencil, tape runner, dry adhesive runner, Glossy Accents, etc.)
- Sandpaper (or sanding tools)
- Needle
- Pop-dots
- Favorite photo (vertical) 4 x 6 with a little cropping room. Black and white is best. You can add the photo later as well or create a collage in that area and not include a photo at all.

Shabby Framed Collage
6pm to 8pm |
Instructor: Jenni Bowlin
Workshop Fee: $34 |
It’s all in the details! Tiny squares make up a detailed collage full of vintage papers, stamped images and “mini” versions of JBS products, all neatly presented in a die cut wood frame ready for display. Keep for yourself or give as a gift! Bring your own photo (black and white works best sized to 2 ¼” wide by 3 ½” tall) or add it later (or use the “adopted relative” shown here and included in your kit)!
Please bring the following items to class (if you have them) – |
- Basic tools and adhesives (paper trimmer, scissors, craft knife, glue dots, pencil, tape runner, dry adhesive runner, Glossy Accents, etc.)
- Sandpaper (or sanding tools)
- Needle
- 1 inch square punch (will make your life a lot easier. 15/16 is what I used and is close enough. I will have some on hand to share).
